About Big Box Karaoke: Big Box Karaoke (BBK) is Arkansas’s first and only private suite karaoke restaurant and bar. Located in the heart of Fayetteville, BBK offers a unique and exciting experience with private karaoke rooms, a full-service bar, and a full food menu. We are looking for energetic, fun, and reliable servers to join our team for the upcoming busy season!
Our servers play a key role in creating a memorable experience for our guests, and they will also be cross-trained to assist in various front-of-house support roles, including food handling, room maintenance, dishwashing, and bar backing. Position Overview: As a Server at Big Box Karaoke, you’ll be the face of our business. You’ll ensure guests have an unforgettable time by providing excellent customer service, taking and delivering orders, and managing the flow of the karaoke experience.
Additionally, you will be cross-trained in FOH support roles and may be required to assist with executing food tickets, cleaning rooms, washing dishes, and bar backing as needed. In the absence of FOH support staff, you may also be asked to step in and cook food (easy peasy items!)
Key Responsibilities:
Serving & Customer Service: Greet and welcome guests, explain how karaoke works, take food and drink orders, deliver orders to rooms, and ensure that guests are satisfied throughout their visit.
Host: Greet guests, answer phones, take reservations, take care of bar and patio guests.
Cross-Training: Assist with FOH support duties such as delivering food to guest rooms, cleaning karaoke rooms, washing dishes, bar backing, and assisting with general front-of-house tasks.
Cooking (when needed): When FOH support roles are unavailable, you will be required to step in and assist with food preparation and cooking, ensuring food orders are made accurately and efficiently.
Room Maintenance & Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of the karaoke rooms by restocking supplies and ensuring rooms are ready for the next group of guests.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other servers, FOH support team, and management to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
POS & Cash Handling: Accurately handle money, process payments, and operate the point-of-sale system.
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant/bar environment preferred, but not required. We’ll train the right candidate!
Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced setting while providing friendly and efficient service.
Flexibility to work shifts as both a server, host and in other FOH support roles (such as food delivery, dishwashing, and bar backing).
Positive, energetic, and outgoing attitude with strong communication skills.
Must be able to stand for long periods and carry trays or food orders weighing up to 30 pounds.
Must be 21 or older to apply.
Must have reliable transportation and a cell phone.
Experience handling money and operating a point-of-sale system.
